On November 22-23, 2018 the Sumy Business Support Center held a training “How to start a company (business) abroad” for representatives of micro, small and medium-sized businesses, who are interested in optimizing their foreign economic activity by opening a company or another business unit abroad.
The training was organized by the NGO “Council of Young Scientists” within the initiative EU4Business, aimed at developing small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine, with a grant support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The first day of the training was held by Dmitry Shvets, co-founder of the n.cubator project, a lecturer at the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, CEO of the consulting company Start Global.
The participants learned about the trends of globalization, namely:
– Systemic access to global markets;
– StartGlobal methodology;
– Diagnosis of the Company’s readiness to enter the Global Markets;
– Selecting focus directions for export;
– Market analysis. Channels of access to focal markets;
– Choosing a system partner;
– Features of international negotiations.
The second day of the training was held by Tariel Kurbanov, manager of foreign economic activity at Rocklane, which specializes in opening businesses of various forms in Ukraine and abroad.
During the training the participants learned about the principles of business organization abroad, namely:
– Starting a business in the US;
– Starting a business in Canada;
– Starting a business in Germany;
– Starting a business in Italy;
– Opening a business in Eastern European countries (Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania);
– Starting a business in the UAE;
– Starting a business in China.
