The main aim of the project is to identify the most important problems of youth employment in Sumy region and determine the most effective ways to solve them; to inform young people about the perspective areas of youth employment for Sumy region, to create a platform for direct communication of participants with successful professionals from various fields of employment and representatives of employers in the region, to share experience with age-mates who have successfully self-employed, to demonstrate the advantages of the combination of skills from different areas of youth employment.

- ex-ante (preliminary) online survey with great coverage of the target group of young people in Sumy region to identify and summarize the most important problems of youth employment at the local level;
- post factum survey of the target group of the project to identify the most effective measures to solve the identified problems.
- One-day information and practical event that will allow project participants to take part in a podium discussion with leading experts of Sumy region on youth employment; in 11 expert sessions in various areas of employment (one can visit all of them one by one or focus only on a few); to listen to five 10-minute motivational speaking of young people with success stories in the field of self-employment “My steps – my success story”; to meet the employers during the “Fair employment for youth” (participants may visit sections according to self-interest); to join the presentation “Successful mixes for youth employment”.
- Filming and further spread of social and motivational video which demonstrates the basic steps for successful youth employment and technology of its provision.
Current results:
On April 19, on Wednesday a one-day forum “I’m young, I – dream, I – work” was held in the Congress Center of SSU. The forum was organized as a platform for youth’s communication with employers and organizations that can offer variants of employment and self-employment.
During the day more than 300 people attended the forum, including graduates of vocational and higher education institutions, students and pupils of comprehensive schools and young people who are educated and want to find a job.
The forum visitors were able to get expert advice on successful employment, to witness speaking people who told their unique stories of success in life. Speakers at the forum were: Vira Motrechko, deputy of Sumy Regional Council; Lera Bilenko, a student of the 5th year of SSU; Dasha Danilova, a student of the 1st year of SSU; Andrii Pivan and Roman Prikhodchenko, representatives of the Center Polytech Startups.
Along with public speaking in the hall of the Congress Center there were also organized the exhibitions “Successful personal development” and “Successful mixes for youth employment” of various groups that operate as independent public communities as well as groups of SSU which is a partner of the project.
Visitors were able to test themselves in the simulation of driving a car and a motorcycle, learn about the possibility of taking lessons in shipbuilding and 3D-printing groups as well as in the school of robotics “Bateon”. They were introduced to the basics of physical rehabilitation, shown future prospects of medicine and IT technologies. During the day there were organized interesting competitions in frames of schools “Psychology of personal development” and the school of journalism. So visitors took part in the competitions and won prizes. Economic field of study was introduced by several contests. They are the School of future leaders, the School for economic illiterates, various competitions of business center of technology “UAB”. The group “Athena” (the issue of financial analysts) presented its own form of self-employment. Overall, within the project there were presented the following directions of development of future professions such as medicine, IT-technology, finance and trade, sports, culture, journalism, psychology, sociology, entrepreneurship and business, engineering.
