Sumy State University, which has about 2,000 foreign students, has long been intercultural, and we plan to continue to develop interculturalism in Sumy's hometown. Our Jean Monnet project is designed to demonstrate that cultural differences in the modern world are not so much a source of misunderstanding as an opportunity to learn new things and gain new competencies and opportunities. On October 25-26, 2019, the forum-exhibition "Furniture. Interior. Design" was held in Sumy. It gathered participants and speakers from five cities of Ukraine: Kyiv, Lviv, Odessa, Zaporozhye and Kharkiv.
