Publication of the monograph “Modeling and forecasting the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on socio-economic development”

A new English-language monograph “Modeling and forecasting the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on socio-economic development” was published. Its authors are Ph.D. Letunovska N.Ye, Doctor of Economics, Prof. Vasilieva T.A., Doctor of Economics, Prof. Leonov S.V. (published by the Centre of Sociological Research (Poland, 2020, 145 p.).

The monograph examines several problems that have arisen globally due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The approaches of governments of different countries to curbing the spread of epidemics to stabilize the socio-economic situation are analyzed. The authors examined economic and mathematical models and scenarios for countries to emerge from the crisis caused by high rates of COVID-19 and quarantine measures. They summarized the features of many models that predict the further spread of coronavirus to its impact and make effective management decisions in counteracting it. The publication contains the results of research conducted within the National Research Fund of Ukraine “Economic and mathematical modeling and forecasting the impact of COVID-19 on the development of Ukraine in national and regional contexts: public health factors and socio-ecological and economic determinants” (0120U104784).
